At Troop 98 we are continuing our work to keep Scouting relevant and to stay engaged with our current Scouts. Our youth leaders have truly "leaned-in" and our volunteer adult leaders show no fatigue as we take short-term and longer-term steps to continue building and delivering an outstanding Scouting program.
Our 2024 program has continued our ambition and success: Northern Tier (3 crews), Summer Camp #1 at Ockanickon (and building another astounding party boat), Summer Camp #2 at Yawgoog, serving thousands of guests at Wings 'N Wheels, and breaking our Scouting for Food all-time record. Plus, we're now at 110 Eagle Scouts and counting (list).
We have continued to plan and execute relevant, fun, and Scouting-focused program, with fun meetings, exciting outings, and lots of community service. And our summer programs are second-to-none, with a continuing commitment to two summer camps every year, plus High Adventure trips like Philmont, Sea Base, and Northern Tier at least every other year.
The Cradle of Liberty Council is also working diligently to help Packs and Troops continue to deliver the promise of Scouting. Our Council is still resolving prior funding gaps in their operating budget due to the pandemic and other external impacts. I'm hoping we can do our part in Troop 98 to help overcome some of this shortfall.
Please join me in making a contribution to the Cradle of Liberty Council Campaign to keep Scouting alive and well in our region. I've recommended a goal of $9898 for Troop 98 and I've personally committed $1498. I'm pretty confident we can beat this goal, as we've always seemed to do with Scouting for Food, pioneering projects, camporees, Eagle Scout ranks achieved, and so much more. Any amount you can contribute helps Scouting!

With my sincere thanks for your support of Scouting, past, present and future.
