Depart from St. John's on Saturday 13 April at 8AM (please arrive at STJ no later than 7:45AM) Friday 12 April at 5:30PM (it's about a 2.5 hour drive to our campground)
(Be there earlier with your permission slip!)
It may be possible for you to leave earlier on Friday if you're off school. Let us know on the RSVP form.
It's possible for you to join us on Saturday. Please indicate this option on the RSVP form so we can try to coordinate.
As of now we don't have any plans for a Saturday return; only Sunday.
Return to St. John's on Sunday 14 April at 2PM (depart Gettysburg ~11AM)
We need adults and drivers to join us - you must have background clearances in order to drive and be registered with BSA in order to camp (details/instructions here)
We're camping at Historical Journeys, in fields just south of the Gettysburg battlefield

Tent camping and these meals by patrol:
Saturday patrol breakfast (cooked)
Saturday patrol lunch ("sack lunch" for hiking; to be assembled/prepared on Saturday morning)
Saturday patrol dinner (cooked)
Sunday patrol breakfast (cooked)
What we'll be doing:
Friday
Arrive and set up camp - evening snack and hangout time (we'll ask you to eat dinner before you leave or bring a non-messy "dinner" you can eat on the drive to Gettysburg)
Saturday
Gettysburg Museum - See the Film, Cyclorama of Pickett's Charge and Museum
Hike on the Johnny Reb trail then visit the Eisenhower Historic Site (link)
Return to camp after hiking
Dinner by patrols and hangout time (maybe a scavenger hunt if there's time)
Evening GHOST TOUR of Gettysburg
Ice cream (of course!)
Evening campfire when we return to camp (time-permitting)
Sunday
Breakfast by patrol
Break camp then hike on the Gettysburg Historic Trail
Depart for home about 11AM with a snack/lunch stop on the way
Drivers arriving Sunday: please plan to arrive at campsite no later than 10:30AM
Pickup from St. John's at 2PM (if you're not driving). We will do our best to call you if we're going to be early or late by more than 15 minutes.
