Dalton S's Eagle Scout Service Project

Hello! At a place called Variety Club Camp, there is an area that is boring and uninteresting called the “Upper Forest”. My goal is to make this area more interactive and entertaining for individuals attending the camp with disabilities.

This project will have 3 parts.

1. Designing and installing interactive nature displays. 

2. Making and installing benches.

 3. Repairing and painting a firewood lean-to with fire safety gear.

I will coordinate 6 meetings to help design interactive nature displays. These displays will contain text, big pictures, braille, and texture spots. The displays will be made with weather resistant material. After the design is complete, the signs will be created and installed on new posts.

I will also create benches, and repair and paint a firewood lean-to with fire safety gear.

Please bring your own tools to the installation of the project if possible (list will be posted soon) and it is a great opportunity to get some service hours!

We will provide snacks during meetings. We will provide snacks and lunch for the installation stage of the project.
