Uniform Guide

Upon joining, Troop 98 requires:

  • the official khaki Boy Scout SHIRT (we recommend short-sleeves)

  • official Boy Scout SHORTS OR convertible pants or ZIP-OFFS (called Switchbacks)

  • we recommend the Boy Scout Web BELT

We don’t currently require Scout socks or any hat/cap.

Troop 98 has a uniform exchange. You can check out what we have ON THIS WEB PAGE and then contact the uniform exchange QM to arrange for a purchase or a swap.

In addition to your Scout shirt and pants, you should purchase:

  1. the Cradle of Liberty Council strip

  1. the World Scout Crest Emblem (if not already on the shirt)

  1. If you don't like to sew on patches, we recommend you purchase Badge Magic (at a Scout Shop or online) to affix your patches.

Troop 98 will provide you with:

  • A troop 98 numeral patch

    • Green shoulder tabs

    • A Troop 98 neckerchief and neckerchief slide

    • A custom name tag

    • A patrol patch

  • Del-Mar-Va Council Shop (Wilmington Scout Shop) ==> ***CLOSED in 2020***

  • Chester County Council (West Chester) ==> SHOP. (Only at Camp Ware in Peach Bottom, PA)

  • Greater New York Council Shops (Staten Island [NYC shop closed Dec 207]) ==> SHOP. (Only at GNYC camps)
