Wissahickon Creek Cleanup 2018


Do you need to complete an outdoor related rank achievement?  If so, please join the Troop for the Wissahickon Creek Clean Up on Saturday, April 28th from 9am - 11:30am.  We'll grab some pizza afterwards.
  • Please RSVP HERE if you plan to attend.

  • Adults and siblings are welcome!!

  • Please complete THIS WAIVER and email to Mr. Chang by Monday, April 23.  You can do 1 waiver per family with all names.

  • Wear your Troop 98 t-shirt (if you have one) and shoes you don't mind getting wet and muddy. You might need to go into the creek to pick up trash.  If you have waders, bring them!

  • We will provide gloves and trash bags.

  • See THIS GOOGLE MAP which highlights our clean up stretch and parking (Parking is at the Cornerstone Church on Butler Pike).

  • We'll meet at the Church and hike up to Mt. Pleasant Ave., and work our way back to the parking lot.
This service project would be good for any of the following Scout requirements:
  • Tenderfoot - Service hours, identifying poisonous plants, utilizing the buddy system

  • Second Class - Service hours, Leave no trace, Nature animals identification

  • First Class - Service hours, Nature plants identification, extreme weather conditions, Citizenship environmental issue (see below for more info)

  • Star - Service hours

  • Life - Service hours, conservation related
