Wings 'N Wheels 2017

==> CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP <==

Come help us at this really fun fundraising event for Angel Flight East (which transports children in need to specialized hospitals and doctors for treatment). Wings 'N Wheels is a Vintage Aircraft and Antique Auto Show at Wings Field in Blue Bell.  Troop 98 will help set up the dining area and trash boxes, keep them clean during the day, help out with the inflatable rides, and help clean up/take down at the end of the day.  We are also building and "staffing" a PIONEERING display with a Rope Bridge and some of our Star Wars events (the Ewok Ambush/AT-ST Smasher, the Droid Factory, and maybe Yoda's Swamp/X-Wing Lift)Help us show off our Scout Pioneering skills (and practice for the Camporee in October).

OPTIONAL Friday Night Campout at Wings Field instead of the Troop Meeting - if you're working on the rope bride, droid factory, AT-ST smasher, or X-Wing raise.

Here's what you (and your family) can do at this event:
  • Check out lots of cool planes and antique cars.  The "warbirds" are authentic World War II planes; they're big and LOUD!
  • Try out the aircraft simulator.
  • Go for an airplane ride in a small plane around Blue Bell.  It costs about $35 and lasts about 15 minutes (be sure to sign up early, because they sell out!).  It's amazing what you can see when you're not too high in the air!
  • Check out the kids activities and displays.
  • Eat yummy food, including buffalo wings prepared by various restaurants that are competing in the "Wing-Off".
Back by popular demand will be the Wing Off Challenge, where 4 local restaurants will compete for a People’s & Judge’s Choice Award.

And Scouts can look and be impressive in their Scout uniform as they help out a really worthwhile event.

Please sign up for a couple of hours by entering your name in this  SIGNUP SHEET.  Any time you spend at this event qualifies as service time for ranks (ALL ranks require service now), Citizenship in the Community merit badge (with approval from your counselor), or school-required community service. Check out the TROOP 98 PICTURES from 2016 and TROOP 98 PICTURES from 2015
