THIS IS NOT THE BACKPACKING TRIP (but you can still sign up for that using the link below)
Campout at Ockanickon Scout Reservation in Bucks County Leave from St. John’s at 5:30PM on Friday 8:15 AM on Saturday (arrive by 8AM) Return to St. John’s on Sunday at NOON.
- Rank Advancement to First Class (possible 5-mile hike requirement, too)
- Work on Totin' Chip and Fireman Chit
- Camping Merit Badge and Wilderness Survival Merit Badge
- Cooking Merit Badge (if you've already started it)
- Hiking to High Rocks in Ralph Stover State Park
Scouts will work on rank completion in camp, plus Wilderness Survival skills (yes, you can start and/or complete the merit badge). Camping in tents or Adirondacks (if you don't need a tent night for ranks or Camping merit badge).
Camping: - Scouts will set up and camp in tents in the SENECA campsite (near the Camp Office and Dan Beard field).

Meals:- Scouts will plan meals by patrol. We'll organize this at the troop meeting on Friday 13 April.
Bring gear for a typical Spring overnight campout (remember it can still be COLD). First Year Scouts: we'll continue to work on gear preparations at the Troop Meeting and First Year ASMs will email more information.
