SUMMER CAMP at Ockanickon June 20-26 Ockanickon is our "tried and true" base camp. Join us for a fun week of advancement, a wide selection of merit badges and activities, awesome food in the air conditioned dining hall, plus all the Troop 98 "extras". Cost of camp depends on when you pay:
Troop 98 adds a $50 surcharge for every Scout to cover additional expenses (food, unlimited birch beer, program supplies, T-shirt, rafting trip). You can include this in your payment or we'll bill you for it later. How to pay Troop 98 for camp (please don't pay the camp directly):
Ockanickon offers need-based scholarships. Click Here for details and to apply (April 1 deadline). | SUMMER CAMP at Goose Pond Goose Pond Scout Reservation August 8-14
Troop 98 is going to Goose Pond Scout Reservation for the first time ever. This year is Goose Pond's "delayed" 100th Anniversary. It's an awesome camp near Lake Wallenpaupack that both Doc Samuel and Bob Trejo attended as Scouts [MAP]. Besides traditional summer camp merit badges and activities, Rodney has a great SAILING program, WHITEWATER merit badge, FLY FISHING and a great COPE Course, and an ATV Rider program. PROVISIONAL Camping Ockanickon Scout Reservation Resica Falls Scout Reservation Rodney Scout Reservation If you can't make it to the scheduled weeks with Troop 98, or if you just can't get enough of Scout camp, you can:
An extra week of camp gives you all sorts of options, whether it's earning more merit badges, participating in non-badge activities (like Adventure Sports, COPE, and Climbing at Ockanickon or Fawn Run and Paddle-Rama at Resica Falls). If you've already spent one week at another camp, or will be doing so later in the Summer, you can usually get a great discount on your camp fees for a Provisional week. For example, a second week of camp at Resica Falls costs $250. So talk to your parents and your friends and decide if you want to take advantage of MORE SCOUT CAMP this coming summer!
