Steve A Eagle Project

My project is fixing the trail behind Stony Creek Elementary School in Blue Bell

  • My eagle project will take place from 9 am to 3pm on July 25th at Stony Creek elementary school.

  • The address is 1721 Yost Road, Blue Bell, PA  [MAP]  •  Drive as far back as you can in the parking lot and look for the signs pointing to the trail. It's across the field behind the batting cage. You'll have to go past all the construction work going on (which you should walk around carefully).

  • Scouts can sign up for up to four one-hour blocks, and up to 12 Scouts during one block.

  • Scouts can also sign up for different crews, whose assigned tasks and other useful information can be found in the attached sign-up sheet. Last minute changes to crews will occur when necessary.

  • Because of COVID-19, all participants must supply their own tools and work gloves. People who bring extra tools must label them so helpers can identify them. The tools we need are shovels, rakes and branch trimmers/loppers.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow enough time to do the Covid questions and checks.
Make sure you check in with the "Safety/Check-In Officer". Please do not go anywhere else until you've been checked in and cleared for work on the project.

  • Helpers must also supply their own face masks, but extras will be available.
  • Temperatures will be checked and hands must be washed upon arrival, and hands will be cleaned with sanitizer every 30 minutes, and tools will be wiped down once an hour.

  • Lunch will NOT be provided because of COVID, and scouts who want lunch must bring their own. We will have pre-packaged snacks like granola bars and cheez-its will be provided as well as a cooler filled with small water bottles.
Sorry guys, I really wanted to serve you donuts in the morning and pizza and wings in the afternoon but we have to follow the Covid rules.
Remember that helping at my project can count for service hours you might need for your next rank. Also, since it's outdoor trail work, it counts as Conservation Service hours for Life Rank.
It also helps me, helps the school, and our community (and it makes Scouting look good!).

I am hoping to see most of you there!
